Ghanaian members of the shea industry have met to discuss their plans to advocate for greater stakeholder involvement in the regulation of shea prices in Ghana, through the establishment of an intra-professional body to influence floor pricing mechanisms.
At a meeting in Tamale in May organized by the Global Shea Alliance and funded by the multilateral development fund BUSAC, members of Shea Network Ghanamet with stakeholders and representatives of partners including SNV Netherlands Development Organization and Oxfam, to discuss issues facing the Ghanaian shea industry.
